There are numerous mountain fed streams in the Lone Pine area, providing an environment for some great Rainbow and Brown trout. The eastern Sierra is renowned for its trout fishing, below are some of the local spots.
Diaz Lake
Located on the west side of Highway 395, 3 miles south of Lone Pine.
George Creek
Approximately 8 miles north of Lone Pine.
Independence Creek
Travel to the Independence Campground.
Sheperd Creek
Located 10 miles north of Lone Pine.
Symmes Creek
Travel to Symmes Creek Campground.
Tuttle Creek
Located 3 miles west of Lone Pine, left on Horseshoe Meadow Road turn left and right at Tuttle Creek Campground sign.
